Working Together

I have been praying for the Lord to use me in a new way. I feel that He has led me to this idea in hopes that lives will be touched by a very small thing in a very big way.

There are many hurting people out in our world who need to know someone cares. They need to know the love Jesus has for us and the love we have for Jesus.

I am asking you to go on this mission with me.

I’ll be making cards and posting them on this blog. You leave a comment. After the card has been up for a few days I’ll pick a random winner from the people that have left comments.

The card will be mailed to the random winner picked. And this is when you go to work.

Think and pray about who needs to receive this card with a special handwritten message from you. Maybe it will be a family member in the hospital, or a friend that has lost a job, someone who just found out they have cancer, a member of our troops serving around the world, a shut in. The list could go on and on and on.

This card will be handmade with love and free to you. Your job will be to PASS IT ON!

Watch for the first card very soon.

Kathy

  6. Such a great idea, we just started something simular in our Women's Bible study class. We are all to call, write, or phone at least three people who we feel need encouragement between our study class this week and our next class. We then will report on our progress and continue to do the same all year long. I think your idea is great since it covers a broader scope. May God Bless your efforts.

  9. What a beautiful way to touch hearts and share the love. I live far from my family and just seeing your cards have inspired me to make one for them. I can't help but think how they would feel opening a "just thinking about you" card. Wish I could win one from you.

  12. What a great idea. I believe in Pass It Along -it's the simple things of everyday life that somehow make us loose track of time. Cards with Thinking of you - remind people that you took the time out to remember them.

  15. Wow, I am so excited to find someone else somewhere that feels the way I do. I have just begun almost the same type of ministry in my church. I have herniated discs above and below a fusion that has gone bad at age 56. I say I am disabled, but not dysfunctional. I am sending cards to all who are in need of encouragement either emotionally or physically. We have so many in need right now that there are not enough of us that are well enough to help those in need. At the heart of it all is a dear friend who was just diagnosed with melanoma, Stage 4 cancer that has been a shock to us all. Her name is Christy Moberley. Thank you all if you would remember to add her to your prayers. 3 children and 1 grandchild would sorely miss her and she has been a wonderful witness for the Lord. Keep those cards a coming. I am just learning. Agape, Reva

  22. This is the first time I've heard of this idea of 'Pass it On' in such an organised way. What a wonderful idea.
At church I've been making cards from old greetings cards and making sure that every sister in the church recieves at least one card. It has been great to know (from feed back from others) how thrilled that person has been to get a card from someone she does not know. Just to know that somebody cared enough to make it and send it does so much good.
There are sooooo many people who are on their own or isolated for some reason or other. A small thing like a card is like a small ripple in a pool that gets bigger and bigger as it spreads outwards.
Kathy, you have certainly been Christ led in this idea. Long may it continue and great may the joy you bring be.
    With love n hugs
